WHAT IS ENERGY? What is Energy? We are all made up of Energy. Everything is energy. Every experience carries with it energy - the food we eat, the people we interact with and even just pass on the street. The emotions we feel. The emotions others feel about us. The places we go. Everything. WHAT IS AN ENERGY BLOCKAGE? Most of us are unaware that we are constantly being affected by the energy of all of our experiences. We gather it into our light body, the energetic layer that comprises our body and our aura. This layer acts like a spider's web, gathering up everything that passes through it. When energy of lower vibrations builds up it gets stuck, creating emotional, physical and spiritual blockages. Over time, energy builds up and needs to be cleared out. This is basic spiritual hygiene. If you went a week without bathing you'd expect to be pretty dirty. WHAT IS AN ENERGY HEALING? There are many modalities of energy healing. They are processes by which energy which is of a higher, clearer vibration is infused into areas of lower density energy, causing the old energy to be elevated and/or released, allowing for cleaner, brighter energy to flow through freely. I use a combination of reiki, remote viewing and visualization to scan and assess one's state of energetic health, and to remove and release blockages and build up. For those with normal residue, they report feeling more energetic and inspired following a healing session. For those with physical pain and/or emotional issues, results range from relief, new signs of healing to the integration of new insights related to the original condition. WHAT ARE THE RESULTS OF AN ENERGY CLEARING? As an energy healer, I clear out people who are sensitive to energy, as well as those who are not. Those who are sensitive notice new integrations happening, old feelings being released and the influx of new energy in their lives. Those who are less sensitive notice outward changes in their life, and then are surprised to make the connection, when the only variable that changed was the healing. While an energy clearing is a quick process, the change is remarkable. I was excited by all the wonderful feedback sent in from friends and fans via social media and beyond. As requested, here is your heart opening meditation. This is my first video meditation, so I'm pushing my boundaries to help you push yours! Sending you all love and light. THE PROBLEM
Many of us are blocked in our capacity to give and receive love. How can you tell if you're blocked? Here are some signs. Do you...
THE SOLUTION Here's a meditation I've been guided to use. I'll share it in written form here. This meditation can help you identify what's blocking you and inject more light into your heart, breaking through any blocks or boundaries you might be holding onto. THE MEDITATION Close your eyes, take a few deep breaths and focus your attention within. Bring your awareness to your heart space. Look or feel around and take note of what you sense. Is it restricted or loose? Do you sense dark colors or light ones? What images come to mind in there? Direct your breath into your heart area and envision a large ball in the center of your heart. This is your heart chakra. Take note of its color, then begin envisioning light filling that ball. Make it brighter and brighter. Make it as bright, white and glowing as you possibly can. You are cleansing and invigorating your heart chakra. Now take note of a chamber located just behind your heart chakra. This chamber can help you to release blocks and pump even more light into your heart. Take note of what you see from this vantage point. A new perspective brings new information, and all information you collect is valuable to you. From that place, as if you were fanning a fire or filling a balloon, begin to blow pure white light into your heart space. Keep pumping and observing the flow of healing white light into your heart. The more that comes in, the more healing occurs. Stay with this image and note the feeling in your heart space and in the rest of your body. Settle in and luxuriate in it. You are anchoring in a positive feeling state that will attract more of that feeling into your life. Take your time and enjoy it. THE NEXT LEVEL If you're interested in having a recording of this meditation, COMMENT BELOW! If I get 3 requests I'll post one within the next week! If you haven't already noticed, one of my biggest passions is releasing energy blocks. Energy blocks can be caused by trapped feelings, limiting beliefs, or painful memories. Today I'm gifting you a tool that I use to release stuck emotions. Clear some time and space to use this tool, find yourself in a relaxed position, and tune in. The more you practice this skill, the easier it gets. And the more liberated you will feel. Enjoy! Last week I shared a tool to identify and redeem your shadow, an aspect of yourself that you'd rather pretend isn't there. Today we'll explore another method for balancing and reintegrating your "undesirable" parts into your psyche. First, some background. The theory behind this method comes from a system called RYSE, which was introduced to me by our fabulous babysitter who is also a gifted healer, Steph. In studying IFS therapy, we can learn that we all have parts, or aspects of our personality, that possess different emotions and impulses. Just like members of any family or group environment, these parts can either work together harmoniously, or they can become polarized. When they're polarized - which becomes apparent when our behavior becomes erratic), the parts that have become polarized need to be brought back into balance. RYSE shows us that each personality part has a polar opposite. The positive pole of a part has "desirable" qualities and the negative pole is responsible for manifesting those qualities. But, when that part becomes unbalanced, the negative pole results in a shadow aspect that can flare up and wreak havoc. I'll walk you through a quick way to reintegrate the shadow, using last week's example of my angry part. First, it's helpful to get a sense of who that part is. My angry aspect looked like a bitter middle aged man with a huge gut named Mario (no offense intended to anyone who might have that name, that's just what came to me!). Then you can ask for its polar opposite to step forward. The polar opposite of angry Mario was a beautiful and powerful woman who radiated joy. I didn't get a name for her, and I didn't push it. Next, clear and transmute both parts. There's much more to this step, and I'll be posting a chakra clearing audio soon. But for now, envision yourself surrounded by a bubble of bright white light, and intend for that light to clear each part, then intend to transmute it, releasing and transforming any trapped energy. Then merge both parts. See them coming together inside yourself, and feel a spark of energy at your solar plexus chakra as they meet. You may also experience a current of energy running up your spine. Know that once they are fully merged the positive aspect will clear the negative aspect, so visualize more energy coming off the newly merged part and being transmuted. Voila, you're done. Like the first shadow method I shared, you can use this method alone or in combination with the other. Whatever works for you is best. We all have a shadow side. It's a part of us that we've worked hard to repress. So hard, in fact, that we don't even recognize it. Ever find yourself criticizing someone you see in public, or even one of your friends? Maybe they play the victim, or have a problem with extreme jealousy, or are passive aggressive? By now it's not news to most of us that we are triggered by others' reflections of ourselves. But knowing that and doing something about it are totally different animals. This week my child held up a mirror to me that showed me one of my shadow sides - anger. Big anger. And when you've been triggered by a four year old you can either call yourself crazy or count your blessings and look for the lesson. I chose to look for the lesson, knowing that I could free myself. There are lots of great resources out there for those who want to delve into the shadow, namely the awesome book Dark Side of the Light Chasers (affiliate link) by Debbie Ford. But if you're looking for a quick and dirty way to address your shadow, I'll walk you through what I did last night. It took me about half an hour. Acknowledge your shadow. Your shadow is a part of you that's been driven underground. It can be viewed as a personality and given a name and a face. Usually its opposite aspect has been very active in us while it lies inside quietly waiting for its moment to appear. We'll delve into the shadow's opposite in part 2 of this post. Write down your shadow's qualities. I described my shadow's traits as judgement, condemnation, hostility, rage, wanting to control others, and yelling. For each quality, ask your shadow, "how do you serve me?" and "what can I learn from you?" These lessons are most useful when you write them down, since otherwise they might be easily forgotten or ignored. For example, here's what I can learn from Judgement: Discernment. True authentic power comes from having the courage to step back and assess what is an authentic yes or no for me. Then I can own them and they will be clear to others as well. Once you've written down everything you have to learn from each of these qualities, you can set your resolutions to integrate the lessons from your shadow. My list looked like this: I resolve to: Reflect on my heart's position before saying yes, no or making plans Stand in my power when making decisions Use my voice to speak my truth Forgive others for past actions Validate my own worth and value Notice when I censor myself and observe the assumptions behind it Own and love my strength and power. Pretty amazing stuff for a part that I'd discarded as worthless. Even your bleakest, scariest part has gifts for you. It is simply trying to let you know that all of your truth is not being expressed. Having or acting on negative emotions isn't a failing. It's simply a mirror. Accept that mirror with grace and find the courage to look inside it. You'll find that your inner demons are actually much more beautiful than you'd ever have thought. Many of us have been raised to view "negative" emotions as inappropriate or unhelpful. As a result, we develop all sorts of tools to avoid or deny our feelings. Yet being present to them is such a rich experience that it's worth gaining some proficiency. Also, denying our feelings doesn't make them go away. In fact, that's where our issues begin. Stuck emotions take root in our psyches and in our energetic bodies, and those feelings will keep resurfacing until we address them. Feelings that are resisted or buried become energy blocks. These blocks can hold us back in our relationships and our way of being in the world. They affect virtually every area of our lives - health, professional, financial, romantic, familial, etc. Blocks can become unstuck through repeated mindfulness exercises that involve noticing and welcoming emotions as they arise. While emotions may seem to be new or spontaneous, almost every emotion we experience is an echo of a past emotion, and it is energetically linked to that long chain of emotion, back to the first time we blocked it. For those of you who are self-motivated, here's a tool you can use to excavate your old stuck feelings. 1. Notice where in your body it is. If you're visual, you may get an image of where it is. If you're more kinesthetic you may actually notice a tightness, ache or other form of discomfort. Or you may have an idea jump into your head. 2. Ask yourself, what shape is it? What color is it? How heavy is it? Don't worry if your answers are right or wrong, there's no such thing. Just go with your first instinct. 3. Observe the feelings. See how they impact you. The act of observing is powerful because the observer in each of us is our God consciousness. That quiet observer - not judge, but witness - is where your essence lies. 4. If step #3 doesn't seem to be "working" for you, intend to go to the center of the feelings. Go to the place in your body where they stem from and witness what's there. Ask if there's a lesson for you. 5. Step back into the observer role and witness your energy. As you watch it, just sit with any additional feelings that might arise. You'll find when you've really hit that sweet spot that watching your feelings will feel delicious, like an activity that you want to return to again and again. You'll actually be grateful you had them! Working individually can be very effective, assuming you have the time and diligence to tune in. I've found that releasing such blocks is much faster with the presence of a skilled coach. I intuitively guide clients to the source of their withholding, using questions and instructions to facilitate your path to release. Did you know that there are bee shamans? Healers have worked with bees for thousands of years. Bees are mystical creatures who give life to our food and bring honey, a nectar of the gods to our tables. There are many ways to work with bees as healers and mystics. We'll go into that another day. Today we'll focus on drawing their magic into our chakra system. This beautiful meditation came to me while practicing yoga today, just in time for savasana, the final relaxation. It's a great tool to use while meditating lying down, and it can also be used while sitting up. Bee Chakra Activation: Lie down and relax with some deep belly breaths. Picture a red flower growing out of your root chakra, starting at the base of your spine. See it grow tall and spread its beautiful red petals. Now imagine yourself growing out of your base chakra and merging into this flower. Flowers have auras; feel your aura blending with the flower's aura and drink in its vibrant energy. Visualize your energetic field turning red as you merge with this flower's energy. The energy of the red chakra infuses you with a sense of calm and security. Now watch a vibrant golden honeybee approach. He drops golden pollen above the center of your red flower. The pollen is golden energy, glimmering like fairy dust, and as it merges with your red aura it catches fire and glows golden. Feel your aura come alive, shooting energy down through the flower stem and activating your base chakra. Know that the bee's pollen has come straight from the heavens. As it cleanses and heals your root chakra your energy is filled with a deep understanding of abundance. Now picture an orange flower growing out of your sacral chakra. Merge with its orange glow and feel a sense of passion and creativity overcome you. Visualize the bee visiting with his gift of pollen and feel him fill your aura with golden light. As the gold reaches down toward your sacral chakra, cleansing and activating it, feel yourself becoming one with all of creation. Visualize a yellow flower growing from your solar plexus. Merge with its yellow light and feel a sense of strength and confidence. See the honeybee dropping beautiful golden pollen and feel him awaken your aura with golden light. As the gold reaches down toward your solar plexus chakra, cleansing and activating it, feel yourself rooted firmly at the center of the universe. Now picture a green flower growing out of your heart chakra. Merge with its emerald glow and feel love radiate through you. Visualize the honeybee dropping his sparkling powder and feel it electrify your aura with golden light. As the gold reaches down toward your heart, cleansing and activating it, feel your love expand to include all of creation. Imagine a light blue flower growing out of your throat chakra. Merge with its soft blue glow and feel yourself connected to your inner expression. See the bee drop golden pollen and feel it charge your aura with golden light. As the gold reaches down toward your throat, cleansing and activating it, feel your connection to the unique soul vibration that makes you who you truly are. Visualize an indigo blue flower growing from your third eye chakra. Merge with its indigo light and feel a yourself filled with inspiration. Visualize the honeybee dropping beautiful golden pollen and feel it enliven your aura with golden light. As the gold connects to your third eye chakra, cleansing and activating it, feel your awareness expand to contain all of creation. Imagine a white lotus flower growing out of the top of your head, from your crown chakra. Merge with its pure white glow and feel yourself connected to divine guidance. See the bee drop golden pollen and feel it charge your aura with golden light. As the gold reaches your crown chakra, cleansing and activating it, become aware of yourself as an inextricable part of the divine presence, the all-that-is. Take several deep, integrating breaths. As you breathe in, watch the golden light swell up, and as you breathe out feel it return to you and grow even brighter. Savor the feeling of aliveness that the bees have sparked in your energetic being. Send the golden light out to all of the bees in an act of love and gratitude. You have now activated your seven primary chakras with the light of the bees and the flowers. As you go out into the world, know that you will now resonate with them on a deeper level. Make it a point to look for signs of love and connection from them as you go about your days. Those of us who live in career-driven societies are groomed from a young age to fulfill our potential. Depending on who we are that may mean making a certain salary, achieving a management position, raising a family, or doing the work we feel called to do. No matter what route we choose, an essential part of the human experience is that we stumble on our path to fulfillment.
Many of us have a vague idea of what energy blocks are, and yet energy blocks are the inner obstacles that stand in everyone's way. An energy block is a story that we've integrated into our personality. It affects our thoughts and actions, and therefore shapes our results. The human energy field functions like a computer. It starts out wide open, blank, with tremendous potential and power available. As we move through life, we incorporate and code our experiences into our energy field in ways that either limit or expand our potential. It’s not the experiences that code directly into our energy fields. Rather, it’s our interpretation of them that gets incorporated. In other words, we write the code. That’s why a person like Oprah was able to overcome extreme poverty and step into her power. She experienced childhood struggles, yet she translated her experience uniquely. She wrote her personal code in a way that used her past not as a blueprint for her future, but as a motivator to succeed. We all have the power to consciously shape our internal coding, by shifting our perspective. What happens when we’ve already coded our experiences in a way that hinders our potential? Don't worry! We're all in the same boat to some degree, and it's not too late to make meaningful changes. Initially, doing the work alone can be difficult, since most of us haven’t yet learned to identify, delete and rescript our code. Learning internal recoding is accessible, once you gain some practice in the methodology. The key ingredients are distancing yourself from your drama, at least for little bursts of time, identifying the major theme in the story you've been telling yourself, and seeing how it's holding you back. At that point you can make the conscious decision to shift to a story that's more beneficial for you, and step into the feeling state of that new story. The act of deciding to shift the story hinges on taking its power away by journeying to the heart of your fears about that story. For those who have been doing inner work their whole lives, or are particularly open, it's a step that could take just an instant. For others, garnering the courage to make that leap may take longer. When do we need help with this process? Some of us need help stepping back to see the big picture. some of us need help finding our false stories and seeing their impact on our lives. Others of us see the deception yet need assistance finding the motivation or being guided down the path to release it. My unique talent is that I can see through your behavior patterns to the underlying code. I see the essence that makes you who you are and the code that you’ve written to cover that up. I use powerful visualization tools to help you delete the old code, and access the unlimited potential that your unique inherent code allows. The path to inner freedom is filled with adventure - standing up to fears, slaying inner demons, and finding hidden treasure. It's rich and mysterious and ultimately guides us back to a place we distinctly recognize as home. It can be intimidating to get started but it's well worth the effort. Speaking my truth has always been a challenge for me. I've been overly concerned about how it might impact others, or their perception of me. It was easier to lie by omission about who I was and be accepted than show my true self and be rejected. Or so I thought. We all have these challenges, pivotal issues that shape our major conflicts in our lives. While we bemoan them, resist them, pray to have them removed from us, in reality they are amazing pathways to truth. All of us chose challenges that could help us hone our truth, become greater beacons of light and love. Mine happens to be that of authentic speech. Yours may be different. Whatever it is, it is whatever you make of it. That could be the bane of your existence. Or it could be your pathway to truth. This morning I opened all of my chakras, as I do each morning and night. I meditated on my throat chakra, the energy center responsible for speech and communication. I went to the center of the point where I felt tightness and strain, and saw it open wide. It opened so wide that it was no longer a chakra. Rather I saw the sky where my throat used to be, and the parts of my body that were above and below fell away, reminding me that I am connected to source and that I am infinite. All perceived problems are simply lenses for me to understand contrast. For it is only through the dark that we find the light. This gateway now is opened and I know I can journey through it anytime I seek to commune with the source of all life. And through that place I can find my peace. From the place which I perceived as my limitation, I found the gateway to the infinite. |
